The Apulian tarallo was probably born at the beginning of the 1400s: poor and simple product, 
It was prepared in peasant homes and offered 
to guests along with a glass of wine. 
The tarallo has been so successful in Italy and abroad that it has become a real 
its own typical product and recently obtained the PAT denomination, 
Traditional Italian Agri-food Product. Tasting and pairings:
