The Apulian tarallo was probably born at the beginning of the 1400s:
a poor and simple product, it was prepared in peasant homes and offered to guests together with a glass of wine.
The tarallo has been so successful in Italy and abroad that it has become a real
its own typical product and recently obtained the PAT denomination,
