Trust Badges
A trust badge is a symbol placed on a website to let visitors know that the brand is legitimate and trustworthy or that a product has certain characteristics.
On My Italian Product, badges are symbols that producers/sellers directly display, self-certifying their products.
This serves to highlight the quality of the product and/or the company to the buyer but has NO legal or official value.
100% Made in Italy
According to the provisions of article 16 of law 166 of 2009 (Decree law 135, 25 September 2009 – Italian Parliament) only products totally made in Italy (i.e. designed, manufactured and packaged in Italy) can boast the 100% Made in Italy trademarks , 100% Italy, all Italian, in whatever language they are expressed, with or without the Italian flag.
100% Natural
Totally natural article or article that contains only natural ingredients.
Company Run by Women
Company headed only by women or where women perform the main roles and own the majority of the company.
Company run by young people
Company in which a majority of young people under 30 manage or perform the main roles and hold the majority of the company.
Historical Company
These are companies that have continuity over time, for at least 50 years of business management and often hand down family secrets thanks to generational change.
Eco-Friendly
A product with a low ecological footprint, i.e. designed to minimize the negative impact on human health and the environment
The expression "hand made" indicates the manual process with which a product is made. It is the main characteristic of craftsmanship, which has made this way of operating its philosophy: all handcrafted products are made without the aid of machines or use them only marginally.
Made in Italy
We speak of a Made in Italy product when the main processing has been carried out in Italy (a shoe is obtained from a sole from a foreign country through: the conception, processing and use of Italian products); conversely, a product in which intervention in Italy is limited to a simple external or marginal modification cannot be considered Italian.
No Animal Testing (Cruelty-free)
It means that the product and the ingredients used in the product have not been tested on animals at any stage of the development process.
Ocean Friendly
It is aimed at sun creams or beauty products that protect the oceans and seas. They are free from substances harmful to coral reefs and marine fauna.
Plastic Free
Aims to replace or eliminate single-use plastic, replacing it with reusable alternatives that guarantee the hygiene, conservation and integrity of a product or its packaging.
